The James H. Woodward Student Involvement Center, located in Talley Student Union, is seen on Nov. 3. As a part of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, the Student Involvement Center hosts over 700 staff members and student organizations. Student organizations can reserve the space to meet, collaborate and hold events.

Stevie Rodriguez and Kelly Foster dressed up as scuba divers in order to take on the 48-degree waters of Lake Raleigh on Centennial Campus for the 11th annual Polar Plunge on February 13, 2016. Attendees ran a 5k and then ran into the 48-degree water of Lake Raleigh on Centennial Campus to raise over $15,000 for the Special Olympics of North Carolina.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is hosting the second annual walk/run on Saturday to honor those affected by women’s cancer. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund was founded by Kay Yow, former NC State women’s basketball coach, before she lost her battle to cancer in 2009.

The eighth annual Diversity Education Week is taking place Oct. 22-28 and will feature over 30 events such as the Islam Fair, a sexual assault town hall and a table tennis team tournament. This event was organized by Union Activities Board and it took place on Miller field on Friday, 17th October. Campout, an NC State tradition, takes place every year where students gather, set up their tents, and enjoy on inflatable rides. This year, every student registered for the event earned 6 loyalty points to win tickets to a football game. Banu Ganeshan.
