In the Student Governance Chamber on Wednesday, Student Body Vice President Meredith Spence-Beaulieu listens to Senator Danny Maher give a ten minute defense on why he should not be expelled on the last meeting of the 97th session for accruing absences. During his defense, Maher spoke negatively about how Student Senate handled the bill for the Pack Bleeds Red program and the 2018 runoff election. Specifically, Maher stated that candidate Zachary Lewis should not have been called racist and offense should not have been taken when the marital statuses of Errico and Spence-Beaulieu were used to question their fitness for office.

The "I Am a Man" exhibit, a virtual reality project created by Derek Ham, recreates the Memphis Sanitation Workers' Strike and other events before Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. Ham is an assistant professor in the College of Design. The exhibit is on display in the African American Cultural Center from Jan. 10 to Feb. 6.

Students have a lunch dialogue with Camille A. Brown, the writer and choreographer of "Black Girl: Linguistics Play," in the African American Cultural Center for Feminist Friday on Feb. 24. Students discussed the stereotypes Brown had to overcome, as a Black woman, to write and choreograph the play. The play will be in Talley Student Union on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 8pm.
