Alicia Moya-Mendez, a student at Wake Tech, is etching on nickel for designing a bracelet in a metalsmithing class at the Crafts Center Tuesday.  This is the first time Moya-Mendez has taken a class at N.C. State’s Crafts Center and described her experience so far as a “very informative and fun” first class. Mary Ann Scherr, product designer and instructor of the course, said, “I enjoy teaching because I learn so much from my students.”

Eric Alexy, a senior majoring in chemistry, stands in the lab in which he works in Dabney Hall. Alexy had recently published a research paper on solar harvesting molecules and their applications for potential light harvesting. "This research has really been an eye-opening experience for me, and enhanced my resolve to work on problems pertaining to the environment" Alexy said.

  David Meyer, a senior in psychology and vice president of the Union Activities Board, said that the benefits of merging his organization with the Student Government include a level playing field with regard to access to student resources and advising support.
