Tapingo is an online ordering and delivery service for restaurants in and around college campuses that is fully staffed by college students. Students are able to use dining dollars as a method of payment straight through the application. Tapingo lets students order from popular restaurants in the area that don't deliver: Tuffy's Diner, Cook Out and Starbucks are just a few of the restaurants that students can choose to order from on the app. The service launched Nov. 9 at NC State.

Tensie J. Taylor, a 2009 alumna will publish her new book, “BULLIED, From Terror to Triumph,” on Jan. 26. This book is Taylor’s story of being bullied throughout school, her difficulties with depression and a suicide attempt and how she dealt and overcame it all to become the red carpet host, motivational speaker, educator and author she is today.

The NC State Styled for Success Clothing Closet hosts all sorts of professional clothing items that come in all shapes and sizes and are free for student use. "It is completely free to use the closet," says program coordinator Michelle Nigro, a senior studying biology, and marketing intern Amanda Smith, a junior studying animal science."Students simply check-in at the front desk, where I then come and escort them to the back and help them pick out clothes. They can take whatever they need for their professional needs." The Career Closet is available on Mondays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesdays from noon - 4 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Matt Bertone, an entomologist with the NCSU Plant Disease and Insect Clinic, shows off a female false widow spider dancing on his hand in the Clinic. Bertone’s expertise is in insect and arthropod diagnostics, taxonomy and evolution.  He is also an accomplished photographer as much of his work includes photographing his insects and specimens, many of which are extremely small.

NC State club swimming welcomes any student who loves the sport. The club competes against other schools in the Southeast on the weekends and is hosting their largest meet ever, with 14 other teams from all over the East Coast Saturday, from noon to 5:30 p.m.  at The Carmichael Aquatic Center. The swim club practices Monday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.

Lew has a book called “Game Design: How to Create Video and Tabletop Games, Start to Finish,” which was published in 2012 by McFarland. Pulsipher has attended the Table Top Gaming Club for over eight years and has seen the club grow from a dozen to as many as 84 attendees. The club meets on most Fridays in Witherspoon from 6-11 p.m.
