A Blue Fortune in the pollinator garden on Sunday. The Blue Fortune and many other plants in the garden were chosen for their ability to attract pollinating insects to this area of Centennial Campus. The garden was designed and built by Melissa Tinling, a graduate student studying horticultural science.

Founded in 1966 as the first FM radio station on campus, WKNC has been broadcasting at NC State for 50 years. In addition to a variety of smaller genres, WKNC mainly plays electronica, hip-hop, indie rock, metal and North Carolina-based music.

Ashley Hanna, a sophomore majoring in exploratory studies, is an Army ROTC cadet. Hanna was among the NC State cadets who were mobilized with the National Guard to provide disaster relief support for Hurricane Matthew. Hanna is a medic with the North Carolina National Guard and was stationed in Lumberton and Fair Bluff.
